Introduction:

To improve flows with cloud flow Process Insights (Preview) is available in Power Automate. We can gain insights and improve our cloud flows with the help of process mining. With a few selections, we can visualize our flow’s performance, identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and monitor for business drifts. As an example, for a selected existing flow, we can see how to use this Preview Feature.

Step 1:                                                                                                                            

Login to the required Power Automate flows environment using URL us.flow.microsoft.com by providing username and password and click on Solutions on the left-hand side and select respective flows custom solution as shown in the below figure.

Step 2:

After Step 1, select the flow and click on Details as shown in the below figure.

Step 3:

After Step 2 , new tab with respective flow details gets opened and at the bottom select improve your flow option as shown in the below figure.

Step 4:

After Step 3 , a new tab gets opened and it will take some time to analyse flow  and provides insights in 2 tabs Process, Time Analysis with lot more details Process Information was shown in the below figure.

Step 5:

After Step 4, if we see Time Analysis tab gives metrics related to Time that was spent during various stages as shown in the below figure.

Note:

1. You can verify this preview feature by navigating through us.flow.microsoft.com, if you try to open with maker portal url (make.powerapps.com) then this process insights will not be shown as you see timeout issue.

• As of now this feature is not enabled for all the flows, as it is preview -feature, we have to wait for GA.

Conclusion: In this way we can easily observe process insights of a power automate flow to visualize flow performance.
