Power Pages Fundamentals #10: Create a Site: Quick Read Series

Introduction: Once we sign into the environment specific to power pages for the first time , we can follow the below steps to create a site in power pages which is a fundamental root table(entity) [mspp_website] where all the respective site information will be held.

Step 1:

As per earlier blog, after you spin up a trial/dev/prod power pages environment, you will see the following screen as shown below

Step 2 : After Step 1,click on Get Started button , you will get navigation wizard with step 1 of 3 to create a site with below options

  • No,I’ve never built one before
  • Yes,I’ve created one before
  • Yes,I build them professionally

This can be shown as below way and select Option 1 No.I’ve never built one before

Step 3: After Step 2, you will be navigated to Step 2 of 3 , with different templates for our site design, select any one of example Starter layout1 and in Starter layout1 select use this template as shown in the below picture

Step 4 : After Step 3, we will be navigated to Step 3 of 3 in navigation wizard to create site and provide required Site name and web address for that site and language will be english by default and click on Done as shown in the below figure

Step 5: After Step 4, automatically site will be created after few minutes and you will be shown an intermediate processing screen and final site will be created and will be navigated to as shown below

Step 6: After Step5, click on Preview button present at the top of the screen and in few seconds, a new window will open with our newly created site as shown below

Step 7 : After Step6, you can quickly go to the respective Dataverse Power pages environment and observe website gets created as shown below

Conclusion: In this way one can create site in power pages post new power pages environment creation.
